Visit WebsiteThe future of Worlds Water Cycles, including drinking water and wastewater systems, is under pressure from climate change. International collaboration is essential to ensure water security. World Waternet was established at the initiative of Waternet, the water utility company serving Amsterdam and its surrounding areas. Waternet provides water services to 1.3 million people and is the only water company in the Netherlands responsible for managing the entire water cycle. While World Waternet is mostly active in practical peer-to-peer Water Operator Partnerships in West and East Africa and the Middle East, it also has strong water cycle partnerships with leading organisations in cities like Copenhagen, Berlin, and Paris. World Waternet aims to serve as a knowledge platform to connect the best water cycle knowledge experts (200+) and scientific experts from the University of Amsterdam (UvA) with key global and European projects where this expertise is needed.
